Fastmesh-868
Our Fastmesh-868 twin wire fencing system is a robust and versatile fencing system suitable for a wide range of applications from basic perimeter fencing to ball courts.
868 Mesh Applications:
868 Mesh Fencing Specification
Fastmesh-868 twin wire fencing mesh fencing panels are made up from 6mm vertical wires and 8mm twin horizontal wires welded into a 200mmH x 50mmW apertures.
Standard panel widths are 2506mm, requiring posts centres at 2525mm.
The 868 mesh fencing system can be specified with either clamp bar or mesh clip fixings depending on the requirements of the fence. Typically, ball court MUGAs use more durable clamp bars, with lighter perimeter fencing applications will use a fencing clip.
As standard the posts are supplied to be root fixed in ground, but base plated posts for bolt down fixing on to concrete can also be manufactured and supplied as needed.

868 Mesh Fencing Heights
868 mesh fencing panels come in a range of standard heights, from 1m up to 3m high panels.
The full range of fencing heights can be found on the Fastmesh-868 datasheet.
The 868 mesh fencing panels can also be stacked on longer posts to form a higher fence, with heights of between 5m and 8m being common, usually around ball courts.
When considering these higher fencing systems factors such as wind loading become extremely important, and potentially hazardous, so it is important to get professional advice from a fencing manufacturer such as Fastline Steel Services.
868 Mesh Fencing Variants
The standard twin wire fencing specification described above is only one variant of the twin wire mesh fencing system.
The system also comes in a Rebound Sports specification, LPS 1175 A1 (SR1) rated security specification, and a lighter 656 Twin Wire specification:
Fastmesh-868RB Sports Fencing: Fastmesh-868RB is the dedicated sports rebound panel version of the twin wire fencing range.
The rebound sports version of the panel includes extra horizontal wires in the panel to increase resistance to impacts. This version of the panel is used where it is expected that there will be direct impacts against the fence, such as on a 5-a-side football pitch.
Imperium-1-868 Security Fencing: Imperium-1-868 is an independently tested and A1 (SR1) rated security version of the standard 868 mesh fencing system.
The system features clamp bar and anti-tamper security bolts to delay potential intruders, and is the most cost-effective security rated system on the market.
Fastmesh-656 Twin Wire Mesh: Fastmesh-656 is the lighter version of the standard 868 mesh fencing panel.
This panel is made up of 6mm and 5mm wires, and is commonly used for perimeter fencing applications as an alternative to 868 or Fastmesh-3D V-mesh fencing.
